Recommend a story: Share the Stories That Help Us Belong
Help Us Share the Stories That Matter
Some people don’t shout about their journeys - they just keep going. The pivots, the resilience, the wins. If someone in your world inspires you (even if they’d never say it out loud), we’d love to meet them.
Recommend a friend and we’ll gently reach out. If they’re up for it, we’ll craft a thoughtful piece for our Notes from the Not There Yet blog - and sometimes, invite them onto the podcast to share their voice with the community.
How to recommend your friend
Using the form below simply share the following info.
- Your details: name + email (so we can update you).
- Your friend’s details: name + best contact (email or Instagram).
- Why them? A few lines about what you’ve learned from them or why their story matters now.
- Any links (optional): portfolio, small business, social handle.
What happens after I submit?
- We read your recommendations and send a kind, no-pressure note to your friend.
- If they’re open, we co-create a written story for the blog - honest, unpolished, human.
- Select guests also join our podcast for a deeper conversation.
- We share it back with you and the community, so their story can help someone else’s middle feel lighter.
Who should I recommend?
Think of the ones who:
- Show up with strength, kindness, or creativity.
- Taught you something you still think about.
- Are in the thick of change - not “finished,” just becoming.
- Would never call themselves a success story (yet).
We welcome all identities, backgrounds, and journeys. This is where the middle matters.
Why your recommendations matters
Not There Yet exists to mirror real life in the messy middle. Your recommendation helps someone feel seen - and reminds the rest of us we’re not alone while we figure things out.
Can I recommend myself?
Oh! Absolutely. And we love that for you.
