Not There Yet FAQs
Welcome to The Not There Yet Project - a space to belong before you’ve arrived.
Here, we answer the questions we’re asked most about who we are, what we do, and how you can get involved.
Whether you’re curious about our community, wondering if there’s a cost, or just trying to understand what “not there yet” really means — you’re in the right place.
Top Questions
1. Does it cost anything to join?
No. Belonging shouldn’t come with a price tag.
Our online community, newsletter, and stories are completely free to access.
Some events, workshops, and future products may include optional paid tickets or memberships - but being part of The Not Yets is always free.
We’re building this space on kindness, honesty, and accessibility - not exclusivity.
2. Is it just for people based in Manchester?
Nope - it started here, but it’s for everyone.
While our roots (and some future in-person events) are in Manchester, our community stretches far beyond. And it's my aim to create local communities across the UK (and hoefully the world)
Wherever you are - if you’re figuring things out, growing through change, or craving honest connection - you belong here.
Manchester might be the heart, but the Not There Yet spirit is global.
About the Project
3. What is The Not There Yet Project?
The Not There Yet Project is a home for people in the in-between - not lost, not arrived, just not there yet.
We share real stories, tools, and reflections that help people navigate purpose, wellbeing, creativity, and change.
It’s more than a community. It’s a mirror for the messy middle - a reminder that growth happens right here, not just when we’ve “made it.”
4. Who is it for?
If you’ve ever asked, “Is this it?” - it’s for you.
Our community includes:
- Creatives, solopreneurs, and professionals
- Parents, those child free by choice, seekers, and changemakers
- Anyone navigating identity, purpose, or the “what’s next?” moments of life
You don’t need to have it all figured out. In fact - that’s the point.
5. What kind of content do you share?
We share real, unfiltered stories from people in the middle of their journeys — through our blog (“Notes”), podcast ("Notes from the Not There Yet", and community features.
Expect honesty, reflection, and inspiration - minus the gloss.
You’ll also find creative practices, simple wellbeing tools, and the occasional dose of humour or coffe-fuelled wisdom.
Community & Connection
6. How can I get involved?
Start by joining our free newsletter for stories, reflections, and upcoming events.
You can also:
- Share your own story for a feature
- Nominate someone inspiring for our Refer a Friend programme
- Listen to an episode of our podcast (coming November 2025)
- Join our online forum and share and discuss experiences (coming December 2025)
- Attend one of our online circles or in-person events (coming 2026)
Every voice adds to the movement - and we’d love to hear yours.
7. Can I share my story?
Absolutely.
Our Notes blog exists to celebrate the messy, meaningful stories of real people.
If you’ve got a story about growth, purpose, or resilience — reach out.
You don’t need to be a writer; we’ll help shape it with you.
8. Will there be an online forum?
Yes - it’s on the horizon. Coming December 2025.
We’re building an online home for The Not Yets - a space to connect, reflect, and share your journey with others navigating their own “in-between.”
It will include discussion threads, private circles, and ways to swap stories, tools, and gentle encouragement.
For now, the best way to stay in the loop is by joining our newsletter. You’ll be the first to know when the forum launches.
8. Do you offer coaching or workshops?
It's coming soon - select group and 1:1 coaching sessions will be available, focused on purpose, balance, and belonging.
We will also be hosting creative and wellbeing events like wellbeing circles, paint a pot meet-ups, and (in the future) community café gatherings.
Future Vision
9. What’s next for Not There Yet?
I'm building toward a long-term dream: the Not There Yet Café - part coworking, part community, part reflection space.
Until then, you’ll find us online, in pop-up circles, and through shared stories that connect us across cities and seasons.
10. Why “Not There Yet”?
Because we all live in the middle.
Between who we were and who we’re becoming.
Between ambition and rest.
Between self-doubt and self-trust.
This project exists to remind us that the middle matters - and that you don’t have to arrive to belong.
